The Mountain Emergency First Aid (EFA) course is a comprehensive, field-oriented training program designed for mountain leaders, trekking guides, and outdoor professionals operating in high-altitude and remote environments. This course provides essential theoretical knowledge and practical skills required to effectively manage medical emergencies in mountainous terrain, where access to advanced medical facilities may be limited.

  • Principles of First Aid and emergency response
  • Preparation and management of first aid kits
  • Victim assessment and primary survey techniques
  • High-altitude illnesses: Acute Mountain Sickness (AMS), High Altitude Pulmonary Edema (HAPE), and High Altitude Cerebral Edema (HACE)
  • Cold-related conditions: Hypothermia, frostbite, and snow blindness
  • Management of wounds, bleeding, and fractures
  • Care of unconscious casualties
  • Use of Portable Altitude Chamber (PAC) bag and oxygen systems
